Bodega Laguna Careers and Employment in Laguna Beach, CA

     

 IvanSpiers, an icon of Laguna Beach hospitality concepts is proud to announce his newest creation“Bodega Laguna” Cocina & Cantina. 

The restaurant theme mixes the best the Mexicoast has to offer by mashing up traditional Mexican cuisine with a focus on mariscos (seafood). Ivan’s long time friend Jimmy Duval of Jimmy’s Famous in Dana Point & San Diego, headed up the creative design of the space that will also feature “La Tienda en Bodega Laguna” a marketplace featuring select menu items, cold beer and a bevy of unique Mexican imported goods. Duval along with his fiancé and design partner Amanda Whitney spent a month in central Mexico and Baja Calif Sur sourcing ceramics, beautiful blown glassware and amazing textiles and the overall inspiration for the space. 

“When Ivan called me and asked to get involved, I jumped at the opportunity, I was familiar with the space, the location 

and the potential for something different Laguna hasn’t seen since the Javier days. I thought... let’s elevate the fish taco to its rightful place in California food history and build the concept around that.” (J.Duval April 2023) 

The old Tommy Bahama space has been transformed into an eclectic design mix of vibrant color, vintage Mexico all in a comfy lounge setting... a DJ Booth on wheels will also make its appearance on select evenings. 

If you’re looking for a unique and elevated restaurant experience Bodega Laguna has it all, from an extensive cocktail menu 

and regional wine-lists in the Cocina, or having a cerveza fria at the Tienda window bar. I’m confident this is an experience 

you won’t soon forget....and don’t forget your embroidered Mexican blanket or dog collar.
