19 years it’s been since Smokin’ Snowboards was born and we are still evolving how we convey our message to the world. As a brand we are growing and learning every day what it means to us to be what we are. Just like an angsty teen we have struggled to keep our message unclouded by our extreme passion and deliver it in a package that the whole snowboarding community can relate to. Finally, like a 19 year old with the keys to it’s first car we have accepted the responsibility of driving this beast and grown from it. With age comes responsibility. With age comes wisdom. We are older, we are a little wiser, we have yelled at the top of our lungs until we were literally short of breath. We have made our point as best we can, as loudly and in your face as we knew how. Based on your responses, the product reviews, the comments on our website and social media pages and the literal growth of our brand each year it has become clear that you, the snowboarding community, is listening. With growth, wisdom, and the knowledge we are being heard and the passion of 19 years of fighting our way onto the proverbial soap box we finally scored a seat at the big kids table but our focus hasn’t changed. The message is still the same. We love snowboarding and believe it belongs in the hands of snowboarders. We still think ski and racquetball manufacturers have no business in our sport but instead of raising our fists to the air and yelling, we will let our growth and your support do the talking. The walk is being walked now that the talk has been talked.. The manufacturing and materials are tighter than ever before. Our product has stood the test of 19 years time and still gets better every year. The team has grown and matured. Keeping with the theme of growth and understanding we are cleaning up a bit. Polishing our image, refining our look, getting a haircut and putting on our big kid pants. Don’t fret though, behind all the fancy talk and sharp dress is the same passionate angsty 19 year old tattooed, half cocked, and ready to take on the world. Through our years of testing and product development we have perfected our technology, shapes, and design. Within the last few years we have developed our Magne-Traction and just like the delivery of our message, the magnetraction has mellowed out. For 2013/2014 we have added a new camber (Thrash Rocker), new nose and tail profiles, new shapes and our now tested and team approved new “Mellow Mag”. We are introducing new “Tefloaded” base materials to compliment our new Awesymetrical side cut as well as our new Vixen Ltd. and Super Park Ltd.. The graphics are clean, full of our message but subtle and refined. Point is.. We have grown and this is going to be our best year ever.
