We are looking for a proven leader who will be responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating our ongoing global brand marketing strategy. You will lead a results-driven marketing team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where you partner with sales, e-commerce, product, operations, and finance teams to execute a strategy, build a consistent, lasting message, and drive our brand and long-term commercial success.

This position is responsible for taking the lead in developing and executing in numerous capacities such as brand strategy, collateral creation, digital/social media strategy, event/trade shows, sales support, product ideation/development support, sports marketing, PR/media and brand communications.

Essential Job Functions:

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, lead, & execute the annual marketing strategy, partnering with the product, sales, & e-commerce teams to align global brand strategy.
• Responsible for developing the programs that will improve the brand's awareness and sales through messaging and media that are relevant to retailers and consumers.
• Transform the marketing strategy into seasonal and annual go-to-market execution.
• Develop seasonal/ongoing strategic marketing programs, in-store merchandising, and overall brand positioning.
• Lead the brand marketing team to execute a digital strategy, product launches, trade marketing, sales promotions, national events, communications, ambassadors & athletes, press relations, and openly engage with ambassadors to drive the brand forward.
• Develops marketing team and sets individual goals that align with department and function goals.
• Develop marketing schedules and timelines in order to increase sales activities and brand awareness.
• Be intimately involved & knowledgeable in product direction, timing, details while leading creative ideation and go-to-market strategy.
• Leads Social Media marketing programs/objectives (digital, viral, social, and web)
• Supports Sales Team with ongoing collateral and program needs.
• Develops and creates brand collateral needs.
• Manages and maintains public relations and brand communications.
• Manages merchandising/POP in-store programs.
• Manages digital marketing metrics analysis and reporting in collaboration with e-commerce team.
• Identify and evaluate marketing strategies based on knowledge of organization objectives and ROI objectives.
• Determines point of difference, unique selling propositions, market opportunities, demand for products and services offered by competitors.
• Manages and coordinates activities of the marketing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

• Strong understanding & appreciation for brand-consumer groups with reasoning on how to empower the brand through multiple sales channels.
• Strong & versatile experience in digital & social engagement, advertising, campaign activation.
• Understanding of how to achieve commercial success w/ strong financial knowledge to blend marketing strategy with sales goals to successfully achieve brand goals.
• Ability to lead multiple teams while aligning their understanding, education, and execution with the rest of the teams across the organization.
• Ability to travel 1-2 weeks a month (during peak season).
• 8-10 years of marketing experience. validated experience in management & team leadership.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, strong presentation ability, and a phenomenal teammate.
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, advise, and empower each to succeed in executing brand strategy.
• Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for a solution.
• Maintains good communication with management, office staff members, and outside contacts.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.


Qualifications
Education Experience
• 4-year BS / BA degree in marketing, business, and / communications

Work Experience
• Related experience of more than 8-10 years in management and team leadership with outdoor/sporting goods/consumer products background.
• Confirmed knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Klavio, HubSpot, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMRush)
• Proficiency in writing, speaking, Microsoft Suite products, Adobe products, NetSuite, etc.
