Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with 5-7 years of experience to join our growing finance team. This role is essential for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company’s cash flow and financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoicing: Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Payments: Record payments, verify documentation, and apply payments (checks, ACH, wires, credit cards) to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Credit Management: Perform credit checks, assess the creditworthiness of potential clients, and set credit limits
• Collections: Proactively manage and follow up on overdue accounts to reduce aging receivables and maintain strong customer relationships
• Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable balances, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in the general ledger
• Customer Management: Respond to customer inquiries, address billing issues, and provide excellent customer service to maintain positive relationships
• Reporting: Generate accounts receivable aging reports and other financial reports for internal review and analysis
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline invoicing, payment, and collection processes
• Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies and applicable financial regulations

Job Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of accounts receivable experience in a mid-sized organization
• Proficiency with accounting software (Aptean Apparel ERP Full Circle a plus) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and resolve complex account discrepancies
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and familiarity with AR best practices
• Experience with automated vendor onboarding and credit check tools/systems (e.g. Riemer Reporting Service, a plus)

This position is designated as Hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in our Irvine, CA office.

The salary range for this position is $75-$85k, based on experience.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
