Your opportunity:
Alexander McQueen is currently looking for a talented & analytical Retail Merchandiser, Women’s LLG, Shoes & Accessories based in our New York Corporate Office. 

This role is responsible for overseeing the Americas Stores (USA and Canada).  Main responsibilities include curating the seasonal buys, assortment by door, managing stock inclusive of seasonal, carryover, and markdown, building business plans to achieve sales targets, and acting as a “brand ambassador” to inspire the teams and embrace the strategic vision.
How you will contribute:
Review OTB with VP, Merchandising
Define and present assortment and buying strategy
Work with Visual Merchandising to define display strategy 
Detailed order review: ensuring coherence and respect of core offer and buying strategy, analysis of buys studying past sales and current buy mix vs. sales mix to identify any risks and growth potential
Develop content for and present buy debrief to the VP, Merchandising  
Define launch calendar and strategies
Lead cross departmental and regional meetings with Product Merchandising, Sales & Demand Planning, VM, Retail, and Communications
Analyse sales performance to recap to VP, Merchandising
Benchmark and recap product feedback
Lead dedicated trainings to reinforce product knowledge of key priorities in partnership with Retail and Product Merchandising
Review monthly reorder needs, defining product range and quantities
Challenge network on sell-through and stock re-balancing
Identify opportunities for regional and local stock transfers
Challenge the supply chain teams to ensure there are sufficient quantities of permanent product for your category in network of stores
Support the VP, Merchandising in reviewing Markdown and RTV lists
Who you are:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum of 3 years of previous merchandising/buying experience
Capable to travel domestically and internationally approximately 2-3 weeks per quarter
Demonstrate ability to adapt, strong knowledge of luxury market/products and philosophy of the brand
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a clear sense of urgency by effectively prioritizing multiple projects
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as strong knowledge of retail math
Manage sales and stock to support financial targets
Partner closely with supply chain and merchandise planners to maximize opportunities and minimize risk
Build strong relationships with regional partners, corporate partners, and HQ London
Partner regularly with store teams, and throughout market process and special events
Travel to key markets to engage and inspire store teams

Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000
