Nordica is seeking a National Sales Manager to oversee brand sales activities for our US markets and sales partners.

The National Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales force and trade accounts to drive optimal performance in all commercial sales channels. This role delivers high level planning, monitoring, analytics and coordination of sales activities throughout the organization by working closely with all internal teams and the external independent sales force.

This position reports into our West Lebanon, NH headquarters office and requires a routine in-office presence. Candidates will need to reside within our geographic location or relocate to be considered for this role. Our HQ team has a hybrid, flexible schedule with 3 days a week of in-office work.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the distributed, independent sales teams to drive effective sell in and sell through;

• Develop field sales action plans and necessary tools for sales force to achieve established sales targets;

• Establish sales objectives by developing annual sales targets on a national and territory level;

• Create sales KPI targets on a national and territory level (units and revenue performance, product mix, selling price, profit margin, inventory levels);

• Monitor and report on sales KPI targets to sales force and internally;

• Enhance existing tools and/or develop new tools to track and report progress on sales KPI targets;

• Manage sales rep forecasting and account planning process to support top line business planning;

• Work closely with Service Excellence team to support the forecasting and purchasing process;

• Develop meaningful sales programs and messaging platforms that effectively reinforce and position our brands to achieve top line sales targets;

• Ensure effective, accurate and consistent execution of sales pricing and programs;

Provide key support to drive optimal performance in all commercial sales channels:
• Brick & Mortar
• Online
• Promotional/Ambassador (Shop Employee, Ski Instructors, VIPs, etc.)

Strategic Foundation Account management:
• Manage all sales for the defined list of Strategic Accounts
• Be the sole point of contact for all sales communication with cross border North American
• Strategic/Foundation accounts
• Work closely with Canadian Sales Manager to define sales program and support
• Collaborate with Canadian Sales manager on Foundation Account Management

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 3+ year’s experience as National Sales Manager preferred;

• 5+ year’s experience successfully managing national budgets;

• Communication skills: clear and persuasive communicator with strong interpersonal skills;

• Able to communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format;
• Comfortable presenting ideas to a group (small and large);

• Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email, Information Management Systems, etc.;

• Organizational skills: strong information management capabilities (organizing/sharing data, etc.);

• Analytical skills: comfortable working with data; able to identify and present trends, insights, etc.;

• Demonstrated ability for accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail;

• Familiarity with alpine skiing industry, retail knowledge, and general sales process;

• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment;

• Ability to work independently, but also performs well in team environments.
