Altra: Social Media Manager

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Global Brand Marketing

How You Will Move the Needle:

The Altra Running Social Media Manager will drive growth and brand awareness through compelling storytelling of our brand, values, and why we do what we do. You are passionate about all things social media and a highly organized team player who loves content creation, and knows the newest social trends. You bring ideas to the table and work independently to get things done. You’re proficient in being scrappy for content, but can also assist in directing and producing high-quality storytelling video assets. You define our social strategy, set goals, test and learn and execute against KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:
! Set the strategy and POV for the brand’s social media content including brand voice, types of content, channel plans, and short-term and long-term calendars.
! Collaborate with e-comm team, creative team to include social media strategy and POV on product launches and brand shares
! Work with Community Coordinator to manage community strategy to engage with consumers, athletes, partners, and ambassadors to amplify and curate relevant content.
! Work with global teams to help define and refine global social media strategy and POV
! Develop and execute a monthly content calendar for social platforms that supports campaigns and tells the brand story with consistent content and voice.
! Concept, capture and edit content to be primarily focused on UGC and used across owned and paid channels.  
! Manage day-to-day execution across all Altra US organic social media channels in alignment with overarching consumer engagement and social media strategies daily tasks of sourcing and publishing social media content, maintaining a daily dialogue with the brand’s fans and followers, and moderating, monitoring, and measuring the flow of both fan and brand content.
! Manage organic content distribution strategies – Use knowledge of best practices by channel and be at the cutting edge of understanding internet, social, and run culture and how to sensitively work within it while maintaining brand goals and values.
! Determine and continuously adjust the brand’s social media software toolkit for publishing, monitoring, and quantifying the impact of social media content and communication.
! Collaborate with communications coordinator to establish and refine crisis management monitoring and response protocols for social media.
! Support athlete, ambassador, and influencer programs to build brand awareness and word-of-mouth, while curating content to use on brand social channels.
! Monitor elite athletes’ quantity and quality social media posts and deliver a report monthly
! Create, engage and execute influencers for seasonal top product launches and send end of month report
! Analyze and report on monthly social media performance to provide actionable insights to help inform immediate opportunities as well as longer term strategy.
! Partner closely with the Sr. Manager of Marketing to ensure that organic and paid social efforts and creative are aligned.
! Provide creative and competitive examples and lead creative design team to “push the limits” of Altra paid and organic media to evolve into best and most engaging social practices
! Creative production support by creating briefs, reviewing and providing input in pre-pros and onsite at shoots to ensure that output matches creative request needs.

Desired Qualifications
! Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing
! 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably online/consumer direct
! Social-first content creation - storytelling, scheduling content, creating content, and measuring performance
! Experience ideating and managing still and video assets preferred
! Understanding of storytelling and what makes engaging content on social
! Ability to organize and prioritize multiple goals and projects under tight deadlines
! Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
! Ability to develop and lead complex projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders
! Experience with content management systems and blogging tools
! Strong copywriting skills
! Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management & planning skills
! Passion for running and outdoor culture a plus

Pay Range:
$66,528.00 USD - $99,792.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential:

This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
