One 3 Two, home of OBEY, Loser Machine, Dark Seas is looking for a skilled and experienced Apparel Developer to join our dynamic team in Irvine.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing a variety of men’s and women’s bottoms, including denim bottoms, pants, and shorts from concept through to production. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and keen attention to detail to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and fashion.
- Build bottoms tech packs. Initiate specs, detailed garment construction information using: CAD, photo, and in written form, and input BOM, based on designers' sketches, fabric, and trim call-outs.
- Source, develop, follow up and manage fabric S/O and L/D submissions.
- Monitor and follow up development processes with the vendors, including fabric development, L/D, print S/O, trims and etc, to ensure smooth progression and manage timelines.
- Manage material, fabric and trim requirements related to manufacturability, performance, quality, cost, lead time, and minimums.
- Maintain accurate tech packs from proto to bulk production and ensure operational excellence of BOM, color, datasheets, packaging, and all up to date tech pack information in collaboration with overseas vendor.
- Stay on top of communicating updates, issues and suggestions to solve problems with both internal OBEY team and partner manufacturers.
- Lead the fit meetings and give detailed written & visual comments including measurements, construction, materials, and workmanship for the vendor to proceed.
- In charge of developing occasional special collaboration mini capsule with Design, during or in between seasons if it includes any bottom silhouette.
- Evaluate grading is made correctly.
- Evaluate and document any errors and corrections that needs to be made on the salesman sample to notify the sales team and customers before heading into production.
- Maintain the bottoms standard block specification chart most up to date.
- Manage sample flow with responsible categories’ WIP report and work closely with Production to stay on schedule for production calendar.
- Build effective working relationships with across the company through excellent interpersonal skills.
- Create and maintain dashboards for product development metrics for corporate transparency and executive review
- Some international travel to factories for progress tracking and quality checks.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong operational skills and ability to simplify complex processes

- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability problem solve and not hesitant to suggest solutions in a team environment
- College degree preferred.
Qualification:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experiences in apparel development, specifically in building tech packs for men’s and women’s bottoms.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design and Merchandising, or a related field in product development
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Computer Program Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and other CAD programs is a plus.
- Apparel Management Program: Experience with Full Circle apparel management system is a plus.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Deadlines: Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing.
