General Summary
Join the La Jolla Group's dynamic and creative team as Assistant Photographer. We are seeking an organized and collaborative individual with a passion for photography and content creation. This role will support our photography team in producing high-quality visual content that reflects the essence of the La Jolla Group brands. Reporting to the Studio Manager, this individual will collaborate closely with studio staff and cross-functional partners to ensure the successful execution of all projects.
The Assistant Photographer will play a key role in supporting the studio's operations and ensuring the successful execution of photo and video projects. This individual must possess strong organizational skills, creative flair, and proficiency in studio photography and editing software.
Essential Job Functions
•Manage projects effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines while maintaining
quality standards.
•Implement best practices for digital asset management, ensuring the organization and
accessibility of image files.
•Prepare, style, and steam apparel for product shoots, ensuring products are showcased
in the best possible light.
•Assume the role of Digital Technician as needed, managing the intake of images and
facilitating the retouching workflow.
•Assist with photographing when required, demonstrating proficiency in studio lighting,
grip, and photography techniques.
•Adapt seamlessly to evolving workflows and tasks, demonstrating flexibility and a
willingness to learn.
•Communicate professionally and promptly with team members and stakeholders,
fostering a collaborative work environment.
•Provide support to photographers and videographers as needed during shoots, assisting
with equipment setup and logistics.
•Set up studio lighting and camera composition with meticulous attention to detail,
ensuring consistency across all product imagery.
•Take direction effectively while also demonstrating the ability to work independently
when required.
•Maintain and organize all photo equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition for each shoot.
•Travel and work off-hours as necessary to support studio operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•1-2 years of experience in photography, with a strong understanding of studio photography techniques.
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Canon, Capture One, and Photoshop.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently under pressure.
•Strong multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience producing compelling digital photo content, with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand alignment.
•Familiarity with lighting and shooting photo content, demonstrating proficiency in achieving desired visual outcomes.
Required Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree
•3-4 Years of industry experience

• Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.
• Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.
• Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.
• Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
