Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of the product development process and play a key role in delivering products that align with company goals. This is a foundational role built for a candidate that thrives on clarity, consistency, cross-functional collaboration, and can step into a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes initiative without prompting, and takes pride in being someone others can count on.
In the near term, the candidate will be responsible for the core operational work that keeps development moving - managing samples, vendor follow up/through, creating/organizing product/price files, tools, and timelines that support the team's day-to-day rhythm. Over time, this role offers the opportunity to take on greater ownership across categories, vendors, and internal processes.
Responsibilities
- Support Product Development Manager in keeping development timelines on track across multiple apparel categories
- Open, sort, and log incoming submits and samples
- Maintain accurate trackers and update sample flow tools to ensure alignment across the team
- Review and validate samples against references and Bill of Materials.
- Follow up with vendors to collect outstanding quotes, samples, and development details
- Build and maintain sample charts, checklists, and reference files
- Coordinate lab dips, fabric/trim approvals, and other development submits
- Keep sample and submit storage areas tidy, labeled, and accessible
- Take notes in cross-functional meetings and follow up on next steps
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks, one-off projects, and administrative support as needed
- Responsible for product fittings, and executing on detailed fit comments and technical spec sheets for each proto phase within a timely manner, to ensure all seasonal deadlines are met
- Fits and validates jump-size-set protos each season to ensure grade rule and fit block accuracy is maintained across every product, and every size within the Fasthouse size chart
- Works closely with the Senior Manager of Development & Production to ensure consistent fit and finish across all categories in the Fasthouse assortment, season over season
- Create/maintain competitor matrix to assist management with retail pricing strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2-3yrs professional experience in Product Development, Apparel Design, Technical Design. Pattern Making is a plus
- Highly organized, dependable individual with strong attention to detail
- Proactive communicator comfortable following up, clarifying, and course-correcting
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Enjoys creating order from ambiguity and takes pride in their work
- Comfortable managing shifting priorities and keeping multiple tasks on track
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Sheets - Adobe, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus)
- Curious, capable teammate who's excited to grow their development skills
- PLM experience is a plus
- Technical Design experience is a plus
- AI curious - actively using in personal and/or professional capacities
- Must have a great sense of humor and go with the flow

Annual Salary Range - $55K - $70K
