Manhattan Beachwear, Inc. is looking for an experienced Swimwear Designer. We are a successful swimwear company based in Southern California. This position is in our Los Angeles office.

We are looking for a highly seasoned experianced Swimsuit Designer that can produce from day one.

Ideal candidate will be someone who analyzes fashion trends and predictions, confers with sales and management executives, compares fabrics, and integrates findings with knowledge of design to create new swimwear designs.

Sketches rough and detailed drawings of apparel and writes specifications describing factors, such as color scheme, construction, and type of material to be used. Confers with and coordinates activities of workers who cut patterns and construct garments to fabricate sample garment. Examines sample garment on and off model and modifies design as necessary to achieve desired effect.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design and 5-10 years of Swimwear Design experience a must.

• Must be highly detail oriented, organized, the ability to set standards and execute, as well as having a strong sense of priority and follow through skills, ensuring that deadlines are met.
• Strong sense of fashion, trends, design and construction and continually researches color and trend information.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sketching skills, as well as PC skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ability to work in a team driven atmosphere with the ability to flex to personality styles and build strong working relationships internally and externally.
