We offer a competitive benefit and compensation package, including:

Assists in procurement for product categories for the Retail business. Maintains purchase orders, manages receipt flows, creates/executes pricing strategies, and reacts to the various needs of the business. Ensures maximum sales & gross margin performance coupled with inventory management.
Key Responsibilites:
1. Ensures purchase orders meet specified deadlines
2. Manages receipt flow and secures timely deliveries by partnering with Sourcing, Customer Service, DC, & vendors
3. Assists with planning and executing pricing strategies in accordance with fiscal responsibilities, maximizing sales, margin, & inventory management
4. Assists in developing assortment plans, sales forecasts, writing reports, & analyzing sales figures
5. Consistently reviews & reacts to sales performance and selling reports
6. Communicates needs/strategies with Store Operations, (e.g. District Manager/Store Manager)
7. Recognizes market trends
8. Supports the development of the Assistant Buyer
9. Responsible for partnering with designated allocator and planner to review sales and inventory top level and on the store level.
Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 2+ years experience.
2+ years prior experience in a retail chain store buying environment at the associate level.Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Computer skills to include Excel, Email, and other relevant Retail applications
(Knowledge/experience in AS400 and Island Pacific preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and able to multi task
Strong analytical skills
Develops collaborative and diverse relationships
Ability to understand, assess & problem solve by leveraging analytical skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts
Strong knowledge/experience in retail math
Special Requirements:
Minimal travel required (approx. 5%)
Attend trade fairs and other relevant industry events
Willing and able to work additional hours when needed
Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight
from 1 to 25lbs, depending on need
