The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Product Manager are to manage the information required for the successful sales and marketing of products.
Coordinates flow of information and prioritize, segment, and process as necessary to convey information to consumers.
Works with assigned category team to determine new product and consumer needs, price points, and strategic developments. Performs competitor analysis.
Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7.
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing or Product Development related field. Experience in a Marketing or Product Development field. Experience with technical product lines and grass-roots marketing helpful.
Skills:
Must be able to work with multiple individuals from a variety of different departments.
Strong PC skills (spreadsheets and word processing).
Strong marketing and product analysis skills.
Strong time management skills.
Special Requirements:
Travel required
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for growing the assigned business by the determined percent and meets all assigned financial targets for each category.
2. Examines, reports and tracks success and failures of the company's products in the marketplace, and determines reasons for success or failure and publishes that information.
3. Develops line list and matrix to support architect of line which also includes segmented product.
4. Communicates product and category information to Design, Development, Marketing, amd Sales management.
5. Researches needs of consumers (reps, dealers, customers) amd communicates to RDD, marketing and sales.
6. Analyzes competitor products, sales programs, and collateral to aid in product line decisions.
7. Works with Marketing to create and design marketing pieces for distribution. i.s. hangtags, packaging, P.O.S. items.
8. Grows business categories with specialty and destination retailers
