We are a dynamic marketing and creative agency, with offices in Whistler and Montreal, Canada, and specializing in mountain sports and resort tourism. Our Whistler office is looking for an experienced Art Director, who is plugged into the arts and technology scene, but stoked on mountain sports.

The Art Director acts as the senior leader of Origin's design team through the conceptualization and creation of strategic visual designs for both interactive and traditional media channels. The Art Director is also responsible for guiding, inspiring and mentoring our team of designers and production artists. The ideal candidate is as passionate about outdoor and action sports as he or she is about art and design. He or she is innovative, creative, has an unmatched attention to detail, a kick-ass book, is technically proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, and understands the craft of design, production, user experience and information architecture. It goes without saying that navigating multiple projects and priorities in an unpredictable and deadline-driven environment is a must.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Arts, Applied Design
- Five or more years of professional experience in art direction
- Five or more years experience with a recognized creative, advertising or graphic design firm
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional artistic skills
- Solid technical skills
- Must be willing to relocate to Whistler and have a valid permit to work in Canada
