We are currently looking for a Textile Developer & Colorist
• Must have high organizational skills
• Act as a liaison from USA to overseas fabric mills and develop new fabrics for core product.
• Maintain fabric development WIP
• Coordinate strike offs & sample yardage requests
• Create fabric library system & record mill reference numbers for standard record keeping
• Provide daily/weekly updates to development team on status of all fabric development
• Provide comments to mill and maintain superior communication
• Maintain established color system which includes but is not limited to:
o Send lab dip requests to fabric mills
o Assign color numbers
o Maintain master color lab dip log
o Maintain color standards
o Evaluate color based on specific light sources required by hybrid or specific retailer
o Coordinate color approval with responsible party (internal approval versus customer approval)
o Record comments
o Communicate color comments to the mill, approvals and rejections providing specific color direction if necessary
o Have basic understanding of color theory & have knowledge of spectrophotometer readings, and proper color evaluation technique
• Have superior score on Munsell 100 Hue Color Test
