POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking an innovative and experienced Brand Designer to join our Creative & Content team. This role will focus primarily on designing layouts and visual structures for social media and digital platforms, with an emphasis on composition, hierarchy, pacing, and how content is consumed across feeds, stories, reels, and campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for layout, spacing, typography, and visual flow, and understands how design impacts engagement and performance on social platforms. While this role is heavily layout- and digital-focused, it will also support broader graphic design needs across brand marketing, product launches, and select print initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Creative & Content Director and works closely with the Creative, Content, and Marketing teams. The ability to collaborate, receive feedback, and iterate quickly in a fast-paced environment is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design social media layouts for Instagram, TikTok, campaigns, and digital drops (posts, carousels, stories, reels, covers, thumbnails, etc.)
  • Deeply understand our brand, product, and marketing goals, and translate them into clear, engaging, and visually exciting design solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end design process—from ideation and concept development through execution, iteration, and deliverables.
  • Design high-quality creative assets across a broad range of channels, including websites, landing pages, social media, paid advertising, email campaigns, branded content, presentations, templates, and out of home advertising.
  • Partner closely with Creative and Content Directors to ensure creative solutions align with campaign goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Shape, evolve, and maintain our visual identity and brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems and reusable components that enable efficient production and consistent experiences across print and digital platforms.
  • Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility, and responsiveness best practices while maintaining a high bar for visual quality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creative exploration with deadlines and business priorities.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and emerging best practices, proactively bringing fresh ideas and improvements to the team.
  • Develop strong visual hierarchies and layouts that support storytelling, engagement, and brand consistency
  • Assist with creative development for digital-first marketing, with some support on print and brand materials as needed
  • Translate creative direction and feedback into polished, final layouts
  • Maintain consistency with Ethika’s brand identity while pushing creative boundaries
  • Support the creation of graphics for launches, promotions, collaborations, and brand moments
  • Prepare files correctly for digital delivery and occasional print production
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Participate in creative brainstorming, mood boards, layout exploration, and concept development
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Content, and Merchandising teams to bring ideas to life
  • Create and edit original graphic elements, layouts, and light design assets as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in layout design, graphic design, or digital design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating social media layouts, digital composition, and visual storytelling
  • Solid understanding of how content is viewed and consumed on social platforms
  • Experience designing for lifestyle, streetwear, or culture-driven brands (sneakerhead influence a plus)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take creative direction
  • Comfortable owning projects from concept to execution
  • Previous experience supporting apparel or product-based brands is a plus

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
