Role x You
The Brand Strategist will function as the storyteller and strategy partner for VMG’s  top tier accounts and proposals. Within the VICE Media Group sits publishers like Vice, Refinery29, and i-D. The team and role will work closely with editorial leads, audience insights, and research to develop in-depth knowledge of the audience behaviors and distinct brand voice for each publisher.
The Strategist drives strategic and communications development, and will be a central representative for the integrated marketing team and the strategy function. Lending their marketing strategy expertise during the client RFP process,  they will build compelling category marketing materials for prospective client meeting presentations and pitch materials. They will focus on driving a strong story for why brands should partner with VICE Media Group, weaving in cultural, editorial, and audience insights. 
This role will be focused on Beauty, Health/Wellness, Tech, Retail and Fashion Categories, reporting into the Group Strategy Director. Experience with Luxury brands is a plus.

What you'll do
Develops proposal strategy to guide top tier RFPs using insights that demonstrates how VMG can impact the client's marketing success.
Briefs in creative on campaign strategy.
With guidance from Group Strategy Director, reviews creative work to ensure that all work is laddering up to strategy.
Builds current and prospective client meeting decks and pitch materials and ultimately, owns the storytelling of the deck.
Delves deep into research to develop category expertise that helps us pitch more efficiently through proactive thinking
Helps with the development of compelling presentations for consumer categories, keeping brands and VMG sellers on top of category trends and insights.
Supports custom research activations alongside insights team.

What you have
The ideal Brand Strategist will bring 2-3 years of experience of strategic planning and/or related strategic experience
They will exhibit strong analytic, storytelling and problem-solving skills and be adept at extracting and communicating meaningful insights from multiple sources of data.
They will have a track-record of responding to client RFPs,  building presentations in Google slides and be a confident storyteller adept within a pitch scenario.
They make connections and help others to see clearly in complex situations.
They identify gaps in the marketplace, in culture, and in the category that a content partnership with VMG could solve.
They are consummate partners across all internal teams who can guide clients in brand, business and cultural understanding.
