We launched our brand Exodus Clothes in January of 2004.
Every brand has some story at its beginning: Some brands start because of friends hanging out, having fun, good times, and someone comes up with an idea, and it works. Other brands are pure corporate marketing big dollars, big ads, and big sponsorship deals.
We like to think that we don’t exactly fit into either of these two categories. As a matter of fact, we know we don’t. Our brand is based upon an ideal.
Our brand statement:
“Exodus is about you believing in yourself and having the strength and courage to choose your own path. No matter what kind of board you place under your feet, how much air you get, or how much sound you make, you are the one that makes it happen. Be an individual, explore life, and go and do what is right for you.”
The position we are offering is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a highly creative, artistic and well disciplined individual who envisions their role as strategic to our brand development, our growth and our overall success. You will be responsible for managing both our clothing brand and our commercial screen printing creative input and output.
Responsibilities:
• Imagine, create and develop graphic apparel designs for both guys and juniors that are unique to the Exodus brand strategy.
• Work in close collaboration with senior management to progress the artistic expression of the brand throughout all of our creative efforts.
• Research and recommendations on new product development.
• Cultivate and maintain close ties and relationships within the various art and design communities.
• Research our targeted demographic by reading various publications, visiting web sites and spending time in the market with our growing consumer base.
• Prepare and present new creative concepts to senior management 4 times annually.
• Create and manage themes for our 2,000 sq ft in house art/music gallery.
• Work in cooperation with our in house screen printing operations to input client work order specifications.
• Output film and screen print compositions on a daily basis.
• Train and manage additional creative support staff for our commercial screen printing operations.
Qualifications:
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
• Experience with screen printing a definite plus, but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Design with 2 years experience.
• If you did not complete a degree, demonstrated experience of 5 years or more (must have portfolio).
• To be considered for this position you should be familiar with art trends in music, pop culture, board sports etc.
• You must posses a positive attitude and have an above average work ethic.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
