Graphic Designer – Entry Level
Summary:
Spy Optic is seeking an experienced, action sport-oriented graphic designer who will assist our creative team in driving all global brand initiatives including print advertising, posters, point of purchase elements, consumer and dealer catalogs, newsletters, website design, and global retail support projects. The position will be responsible for executing all projects from the initial stages of creative conceptualization through final pre-press and production stages. This position will report to the Marketing Creative Project Manager and is based out of our Carlsbad, California headquarters.
Responsibilities:
• Conceive, develop and design progressive, action-sport graphic design campaigns
• Collaborate with our design team on company’s future creative direction
• Plan and execute all 2D and 3D design projects
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of graphic design experience
• Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to thrive in a deadline- driven environment
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Action-sport experience in three or more categories (surf, skate, snow, wake, moto, bike)
• Direct experience with branding and graphic design in an action sport environment
• Passion for progressive, youth-driven design
• Direct experience in executing dynamic design projects from conception through execution
• Experience with large format printing and display graphics
** Be prepared to provide samples of previous Action Sports work
