Responsible for leadership and direction of all aspects of the product life cycle. Must identify relevant consumer, competitor trends, and sales opportunities. Bring to market innovative and complementary product initiatives that meet or exceed internal quality standards, design intent, and margin targets that are in line with and ensure the company?fs growth plan.
Position Responsibilities:
Product Planning & Line Management:
- Manage the development process and product line life cycle to meet company, brand, and channel objective
- Conduct product line performance analysis including sku-level sales and margin productivity identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver product line performance updates and presentations
- Manage annual budget for product development department
- Define 3 year and annual product line imperatives/priorities and seasonal initiatives to achieve sales/margin, enrich the brand, and deliver on consumer/retailer/channel needs and goals.
- Adapt product plans to address shifting needs and opportunities in the market
- Map and calendar product introductions
- Supervision: Minimal - must to identify needs, work independently.
- Supervisory Responsibility: Yes - PD staff works closely with sales team, COO, finance team
- Access to Confidential information: Yes
- Handle company funds: No
- Languages: English fluency required Chinese helpful
- Training/Education required: Minimum of Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited College or University or equivalent experience (10+ years)
- Experience required: Minimum 5 years leading a development group
- Technical Skills required:
*Excellent Computer skills
*Moderate knowledge of Excel
*Mastery of forecasting/costing processes
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English, Chinese helpful)
