PRODUCT MANAGER

What you need to be successful in this position:
• Prior management experience in developing product lines for retail, wholesale or catalog.
• Extensive knowledge of camping, travel, biking and related products.
• Demonstrated line merchandising skills through compelling and cohesive product assortments.
• Solid understanding of retail merchandising, specifically assortment planning, allocation/distribution and store/brand merchandising.
• Enjoy using product frequently for personal testing.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team including ability to work with others over whom one has no direct authority.
• Excellent negotiation skills, solid self initiative skills as well as ability to exhibit vision.
• B.A. or B.S. in business, retail management or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
Responsibilities:
• The Product Manager is responsible for developing the identity of the camping, mountain bike, and accessory products and brands in our stores also leads many of the processes that are required to ensure products are available to the EMS customer.
• Create and maintain a merchandising strategy for said product line.
• Lead cross functional team to meet and exceed business goals.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the EMT Target Customer and their activities.
• Develop, collaborate on and communicate merchandise strategies for materials and technologies that affect multiple divisions.
• Lead the development of Assistant Product Managers and Designers.
• Manager the product development process regarding timelines.
• Manage business operations with the goal of improving efficiencies to enhance profit and customer value.
