The Retail/Rental Department at Winter Park Ski Resort is currently accepting applications for a Store Manager for the winter season. This is an 8 month, seasonal salaried position to begin September 1st and work through April 30th, 2007. The Retail/Rental Store Manager’s responsibility is to lead, direct, coordinate, and manage the retail/rental functions of the store assigned to him or her as directed by the Retail Group Manager and Retail Director. The stores general product categories include clothing, outerwear, sporting hard- and soft-goods, and other winter activity related items.
Responsibilities include:
- hiring, training, and managing employees assigned to the store
- ensuring an excellent, high quality resort and mountain experience for guests
- monetary control, inventory control, and protection
- leading the integral team responsible for the overall profitability and success of the store
- consistently follow policies and procedures as set forth by the resort
Qualified applicants must have:
- College Degree or equivalent experience
- Must possess a valid drivers license, and clean MVR
- 3 yr minimum experience in Business Management
- 3 yr minimum experience in Personnel Management
- 3 yr minimum experience in computer systems, specifically POS Systems
- Supervisory/ Management experience
- Experience in Retail Shop Design, Planning, and Budgeting
- Experience in Rental/ Retail Industry
-Ski and/or snowboarding ability
