OluKai is looking for Marketing Manager located in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of marketing department to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of team.
- Manage staff as well as 3rd party resources to ensure efficient workflow, effective communication as well as alignment with company objectives.
- Manage department calendar, status meetings to ensure successful execution of workflow. Identify, develop and implement process and procedures as required to streamline work.
- Manage seasonal ‘go to market’ execution across marketing functions of catalogs, packaging, retail marketing/POS, events/tradeshows, advertising/PR, ecommerce, social media.
- Oversee seasonal campaign development and execution, staff/agency briefings on company objectives and see tactical development through from inception to deployment.
- Manage project deadlines and budgets, driving towards successful implementation as well as analysis of results.
- Regular evaluation and mentorship of staff, foster growth and teamwork.
- Ability to manage and motivate a marketing team.
- Catalog/brochure production management, execute print/digital advertising campaigns
- Manage creation and deployment of POS systems
- Manage execution of retail partnerships
- Manage packaging graphics production
- Website content, ecommerce, social media marketing management
- Multi-media management: creating and managing digital content
- Manage and execute the seasonal media calendar.
- Manage internal PR execution, sample delivery
- General marketing idea generator
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required - BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or other related discipline a plus.
- This position requires solid experience as a Marketing & Communications leader and prior people management experience is a must. 4-8 years of related professional experience preferably in footwear or apparel with retail experience. A passion for premium consumer branding as well as ocean lifestyle is a must.
- Must be quantitative minded and possess advanced level of computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Thorough knowledge and specific experience in general marketing principles, branding, product launch planning and marketing collateral development. Must have a strong experience in market research fundamentals and processes.
- Able to organize multiple tasks and manage projects through to completion on schedule and on budget. Strong organizational skills expected as well as project planning abilities, timeline management & interpersonal skills. Able to work professionally with flexibility in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess strong presentation skills. Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to travel throughout the US and International locations, some weekend travel and evening meetings.
- Demonstrate a passion for product and brand building.
- Team players required.
