FREELINE SPORTS is looking for a Manufacturing/Operations Manager to project manage all aspects of the supply chain to include: interfacing with R&D on product schedules, communicating with manufacturers on RFQs and production schedules, participate in DFM/DFQ planning process, placing purchase orders for all inventory related purchases, tracking shipments and controlling inventory levels and transactions and managing day to activities with 3PL supplier(s).
A working professional, with leadership skills, relationship building and great attention to detail will be the keys to success in this dynamic, start-up environment.
Job Duties:
• Interface with R&D on timing of new product releases and address DFM and DFQ Issues.
• Coordinate company approval process for first production builds prior to release into the market.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on Demand Forecasting and Develop and Implement Product Supply Plan to meet demand requirements within lead-time.
• Support product requirements for trade shows.
• Placing of Purchase Orders for all inventory related products ( Hard Goods, Soft Goods and Parts and Accessories).
• Tracking POs from placement with suppliers to delivery of goods into inventory.
• Reconciling all inventory transactions ( PO quantity vs. receipt and inventory quantities).
• Working with finance organization on reconciliation of all purchase order and inventory transactions.
• Providing daily finished goods availability report to Sales.
• Managing day to day activities of 3PL Supplier(s).
• Provide data to management regarding performance of all manufacturing and supply chain related suppliers.
• Coordinate the RFQ process with all suppliers for inventory items.
• Interface with finance and external auditors regarding inventory control.
The ideal candidate must have Manufacturing/Supply Chain vendor management experience, be ISO like process management disciplined, have strong project management experience ( multi-tasking capable). Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Be Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft Project knowledgeable a plus. Retail/wholesale and/or action sports knowledge background is desired.
