The Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate (SDS) is looking for a talented Assistant Product Manager to join our in-house product development team here in Waterbury. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years product management, development or design experience, have exceptional organizational, presentation and communication skills, International work/travel experience and of course an all consuming pre-occupation with snowboarding.
As Assistant Product Manager you will work with the Director of Product to manage and execute the development process from line conception through prototype development to final product specifications. Working with multiple elements within the SDS you will be responsible for building consensus and ensuring that the products brought to market are innovative, market relevant, on strategy and timely.
Significant domestic and international travel required
Responsibilities to include:
- Product development timeline management for category from concept through to delivery
- Management of factories, designers and developers to timeline
- Daily communication with vendors and sub contractors
- Primary liaison between, team riders, sales, marketing and product
- Management and understanding of costing sheets, pricing, import/export, etc
- Ensuring timely delivery (samples and production)
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (Business or Engineering preferred)
- 2 years product management and/or development experience (or equivalent)
- Solid level of understanding of composite components and constructions
- Highly organized, detail oriented and deadline driven
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency –Excel (advanced skills), Word and Illustrator
