New Era Cap is opening an office in Orange County to support our expanding presence in the Action Sports market. We are relocating the entire Action Sports Business Unit from New York to California and have multiple positions available.
The role of the Project Coordinator is to support the overall marketing and product efforts of the Action Sports Business Unit ('SBU'). The Project Coordinator for the Action Sports Business Unit reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing – Action Sports.
•Work closely with and assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in managing the day-to-day activities of the Action Sports Business Unit. This includes managing timelines, executing initiatives, supporting critical path project issues and internal and external cross-functional support personnel.
•Maintain an accurate and up to date SBU Sales and Marketing calendar, tracking launches, events, and key SBU dates. Communicate SBU activities to the sales, marketing and support teams.
•Facilitate the sample process, which includes assisting in ordering samples, monitoring and adhering to production timelines, coordinating the distribution of samples, and maintaining an accurate inventory of samples.
•Assist in the day-to-day activities involved in New Era’s relationship with OEM Action Sports partners:
•Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing in preparing Sales Meeting presentations and supporting communication materials for distribution. Coordinate the shipping of samples and support materials to and from Sales Meeting facility.
•Assist in the planning process for a New Era presence at all relevant Trade Shows, prepare communication pieces and support materials for Trade Shows and coordinate the shipping of samples and supports materials to and from the Trade Show facility.
•Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing and internal personnel to launch products/programs to Sales Force which includes creating product briefs outlining key objectives for program launches, coordinating the flow of information to operations for system set up and creating communications to inform the Sales Force.
Through one to three years of business experience, with exposure to a marketing environment, you must be able to demonstrate acquired skill and measurable success in each of the following areas:
•Knowledge and skill in marketing principles and techniques to materially improve the performance of a brand
•Building and nurturing internal and external relationships
•Ability to influence others through development of cohesive and persuasive communication
•Orientation toward the culture and instinct for the action sports market
•Contributing individual capabilities in the achievement of group objectives and working effectively with others in a group setting
•Extremely detailed individual who thrives in an organized environment
•Enthusiastic positive person who embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence.
•Undergraduate degree in business required, or relevant work experience.
