We are looking for a Head Swimwear Designer for our 2 flagship brands: Sunsets & Swim Systems

Position Summary:
The Designer is responsible for designing, managing and creating innovative designs. Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and creating all prints, solids and styles. Designer will be responsible for researching trends that put our labels ahead of the competition in color, style, look, fit and overall fashion.
Essential Functions of this Role:
• Innovate and develop new, emerging and existing concepts.
• Research markets, trends and fabrics in order to bring fresh ideas and innovation.
• Individual must possess the ability to create own direction as well as take direction and expound upon an idea, managing their time professionally.
• Individual must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, to resolve conflicts and work alongside production development team to meet deadlines.
• Individual must be very detail oriented
• Individual must work within creative standards set by the management. They must possess the ability to effectively take design direction, utilizing their creativity and talent to design
• When appropriate, Designer will be required to travel and attend design/market type events.
• Designer will be responsible for creating story boards and line presentation
• Run all fittings for their given category or categories. Comment on all fabric, trim and color submits.
Minimum Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Minimum 10 years experience
• Comprehensive understanding of apparel design and garment construction
• Comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of fabric construction
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe In Design or equivalent
• Ability to clearly present ideas to manager and/or team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
