New Era Cap recently opened an office in Orange County to support our expanding presence in the Action Sports market. We are looking for a dynamic individual to work in our customer service department on a contract basis with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee.

The role of the Customer Service Representative is to assist customers, Business Unit Directors and other internal and external personnel with questions, concerns and comments that arise regarding accounts and orders.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing – Action Sports and receive further direction from the Director of Customer Service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Answer incoming telephone calls from customers, sales representatives and other internal departments.
• Receive and enter orders into system.
• Work directly with the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure time lines are met.
• Work directly with Operations, Global Sourcing, Engineering, Logistics, Credit, Invoicing, Design, and the Business Unit to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer’s P.O.’s.
• Check inventory status for customers.
• Follow up on requests for shipments.
• Work with Shipping Department on requests for priority shipments, backorders & cancellations.
• Assist customers with pricing, credits, invoices and terms. Forward calls to the Credit Department when necessary.
• Investigate initial requests for returned items, negotiate with customer to keep items and correct the situation as needed complete appropriate RA paperwork in timely manner.
• Update requested delivery dates as necessary.
• Assist all other internal departments when needed.
• Submit allocation orders and cover sheets on timely basis and in accordance with procedure.

Through a minimum of two to three years of general office experience with a focus on customer service, you must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:

•Basic computer skills including Mainframe and PC applications

•Excellent communication and organizational skills a must

•Knowledge of the product line (graphics, color, etc) a plus

•Enthusiastic positive person who embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence.

•Associates Degree in Business Administration Relevant job experience in lieu of degree.
