Sports Specialty Store - Visual Merchandiser (Union Square)

Renowned sports specialty store is seeking a highly energetic associate to join our visual merchandising team. In this role you will play a key role in enhancing our image as one of the leading sporting goods stores in the world. Responsibilities
• Be creative, innovative and imaginative through execution of visual merchandising
• Execute visual standards according to company directives
• Maintain and present visual displays in an influential manner
• Produce quality work in a consistent, timely and organized manner
• Maintain visual shop, department tools, supplies and visual equipment
• Assist with special events
• Timely product pull based on monthly receipts
• Develop new product fixture concepts
• Request of appropriate seasonal and promotional signage insuring that it is aligned with the store's other channels
• Direct interface with warehouse group on replenishment, ticketing and markdown issues
Skills Summary
• Prior visual merchandising display experience
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting and use of ladders and other equipment
• Highly organized with an attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Multi task and make effective merchandising decisions based on direction from buying team.
• Work in conjunction with sale managers and associates on current merchandising standards
• Direct interface with warehouse group on replenishment, ticketing and markdown issues
• Ability to work as part of a team, or independently with little direct supervision
• Comfortable in using a computer and open to learning new programs and systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, dependent on business needs
• Organized and detailed with a strong sense of urgency
• Knowledge of a variety of merchandising systems and materials
