Assistant Technical Designer/ Fit Model

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Spec Garments: Must be able to measure a sample point by point when submitted by vendor.
• Measuring: must be familiar with measuring samples points to ensure that vendor submitted the sample according to the specification given.
• Fit Comment: must able to enter specs on Excel.
• Sewing Terminology: must have general sewing vocabulary to able to be able to communicate any sewing changes.
• Knowledge of garment construction for fashion knit tops, bottoms, and outer wear.
• Must be able to communicate fit comments to vendors.
• Illustrator & Photoshop Knowledge required
• Must be knowledgeable in developing and reading specification packages (tech packs).

Fit model must have the following body measurements:
· Bust (widest part of bust around the apex): 35-1/2” B
· Waist (the narrowest part of waist): 27” – 27-1/2”
· Low Hip (8” below waist): 37” – 37-1/2”
· Height (without shoes): 5’6-1/2” – 5’7-1/2”

· Punctuality is a must to adhere to scheduled fit times

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a college graduate with an education in Product Development or Design.
- 2 years Experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2yr AA Degree preferred in Fashion Design.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Must be familiar with using fraction as a source of measuring and be able convert them into the decimal system

REASONING ABILITY:
- Must be able to analyze and compare specs, and evaluate garment construction
