Luxottica Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager, to develop and manage Marketing Plans and Strategy for the Arnette Sunglass line for North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities are dispersed over the areas of Athlete Management, Advertising, Public Relations and Product Placement, Competitive Analysis, and Retail and Consumer Events Management.

These essential functions are:
• Develop athlete endorsement strategy
• Oversee Arnette team manager (Independently contracted position)
• Participate in the athlete's contracts negotiations
• Continuation of athlete relations and future prospects
• Develop media plan and negotiate media buy (print, Video, TV, etc.)
• Maintain relationship with Ad reps, and visit magazines quarterly
• Facilitate art for media placement (print, Video, TV, etc.)
• Organize and art direct photo shoots
• Select and negotiate photo buys (action shots)
• Work closely with graphic designer to create print ads, closely following the media schedule closing dates and deadlines
• Develop personality, music, and Hollywood relations
• Facilitate product for editorial placement in endemic and non-endemic publications
• Work with PR department to create press releases for new products, events, and progress
• Develop and present new P.O.P. and Display concepts based on US market needs and competitive analysis
• Organize focus groups to test new products and identify trends
• Ensure correct execution of marketing activities at retail level (i.e. window projects)
• Develop and execute event, street marketing, and promotion strategies
• Develop and execute retail promotions with the sales force
• Evaluate sponsorship opportunities
• Execute and manage all events and sponsorships (Staffing, on-site activities etc.)
• Coordinate all activities with the Worldwide Brand Manager based in Milan, Italy
• Coordinate activities for the brand with Luxottica Retail in Cincinnati, OH

QUALIFICATIONS:
- The candidate has to have 3-4 years of marketing experience in similar business
- The candidate should have the ability to work under minimum supervision
- Spend a minimum of 3/4 days a month in the Port Washington (NY) office:

The candidate would report to the Director of Marketing of the Luxottica Group who is based in Port Washington, NY the position itself will be based in Southern California.
