Legendary sports specialty retailer seeking a full time Ski Apparel Manager. Be a sales leader to a large, diverse staff as you sell from one of the city’s broadest assortments of ski apparel, for men, women and children. Our selections represent the very top of the fashion pinnacle.
You will be responsible to handle all aspects of the business, such as screening new hire candidates for your department, scheduling, coaching and counseling, interaction with our buyers and department merchandisers, etc. In terms of achieving sales , you will lead by example, occasionally interacting with customers to demonstrate your approach to selling the appropriate item(s) once you have assessed the customer’s skill level and prior experience showing how to segue in to turning each sale in to one containing multiple items closing techniques, etc.
In addition to having a solid background in a retail sales environment (soft lines preferred) you must be an active winter sports enthusiast – an experienced and seasoned skier or boarder, who has spent many seasons on the slope and can speak with authority about fit characteristics, wicking properties, layering and other functionality unique to ski apparel.

This is a full time regular position, with full benefits, including a very generous associate discount.
