Electric is an Orange County based, International sunglass and accessory brand.
We are currently searching for a highly skilled, extremely creative Art Director with a natural flair for all facets of design and highly organized approach to management. Reporting directly to the Creative Director on an array of design projects across any media: print, video, interactive, environmental and beyond. The successful candidate will be working in a young, directional art department alongside strong talent.
Position Overview
• Reporting to the Creative Director, lead a small team of in house and international designers ensuring brands I.D and direction is adhered to
• Understand and execute Creative Directors vision
• Close interaction with Product, Sales, Ecomm and Marketing teams regarding the overall look and feel of the brands production for all needs to reinforce brand ID and initiatives.
• Layout, templates and Art Direction for all facets of Electric creative Services including but not limited to, Advertising campaigns including print, web, video, P.O.P, window campaigns etc.
• Develop creative concepts, mood boards, storyboards and presentations derived from creative briefs
• Develop, communicate and manage multiple creative timelines, from concept to execution
• Liaise with and manage Photographers, Stylists, and talent for photo-shoot production and execution
• Maintain creative budget
• Present clear ideas and concepts to other departments and team members
• Be both hands-on and provide clear direction for others
• Mentor and train junior design team members
• Review, approve and artwork, print, video and digital
• Create global campaign communication packages, to be translated to international subsidiaries.
Job Requirements
• 3-4+ years of experience at agency or design firm in an Art Director role or similar
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Design Suite in a Mac environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Uncompromising eye for design, layout and typography
• Detailed, proven understanding of print, digital and video production
• Be motivated and able to manage multiple projects to deadline
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to perform and motivate under pressure.
