Geneva Watch Group is seeking a Watch Designer / Product Developer for our Action Sports & Luxury brands, within our New York Headquarters. This person will be working closely with the Brand’s internal marketing and merchandising team, as well as the licensor. The designer/ product developer will develop individual watch designs and collections, based on the DNA of the brand, as well as the overall trends in the watch and fashion markets.

Responsibilities:
• Develop hand sketches as well as 2D and technical drawings
• Work closely with Brand Management, Product Development, and Sourcing teams as well as the licensor to obtain design approvals
• Initiate and implement strategic product lines and strategic roll outs that synchronize with the brands requirements, while meeting our company’s goals
• Work with our domestic and overseas design and development teams from line conceptualization all the way through to product confirmation
• You will be responsible for knowing Market trends and how they apply to the brand
• Daily communication with Far East team

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years design experience
• Previous brand or line management helpful
• Must have strong analytical skills, understand trends and know how to combine the two to create commercial product lines
• Effective presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to conceive/create new ideas and thinking outside the box on both product and process
• Knowledge of Action Sports industry
• Ability to collaborate and foster creativity and innovation
• Comfortable working in a fast-past, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of CAD software including Photoshop and Illustrator 3D software experience a plus
• Domestic and international travel required
