Surfline is in search of a Content Partnerships Specialist to join the team at headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA.
Surfline/Wavetrak is the premier leader in providing live and predicted ocean weather information, editorial content, and consulting services to consumers, businesses, and government agencies worldwide. With a proven track record of success synthesizing science expertise with content and editorial talent across all of our properties (Surfline, FishTrack, Buoyweather) the opportunity at Surfline is as large as the ocean itself.
Who Are You?
You’re eager, creative and confident your charisma lights up the room and everyone is excited by your energy. You’re driven by a desire to come up with creative editorial concepts and you have a strong appreciation for photography, video, and graphic design. You enjoy working with Sales, Marketing, and Digital teams to hatch progressive concepts to increase ad revenue. In addition to your creative genius, you also possess a strong business acumen and are passionate about surfing. You pride yourself on the strong relationships you have built within the surf industry.
At Surfline you'll be…
•Leading the growth and evolution of our sponsored content initiatives to increase ad revenue
•Scheduling, managing and producing all non-“news specific” sponsored features
•Partnering with the Sales team and conceptualize and pitch ideas to potential customers
•Helping manage and sell additional content distribution deals
•Creating, producing and managing Surfline events: Wave of the Winter, GoPro of the World, Battle of the Breasts, Smith Grudge Match
•Providing editorial direction of the Surfline Guide properties: Gear Guide, Boardshort Buyer’s Guide, etc.
•Contributing ideas for timely and relevant news stories to the Editor in Chief
•Working in a fast-paced work environment
•Encouraged to leverage your creativity in order to solve tough problems with clear and simple solutions.
•Unshackled by conventional thinking.
