This is a new position with responsibility for developing and cultivating revenue streams within new media and digital properties. Prospects and solicites new sponsors and provides new media/digital services to current accounts. Generates new accounts through direct contact and coordinates with advertising agencies.

Zuffa is very proactive with its new media and technolodgy utilization and strategies and seeks an account director with knowledge of tried and proven techniques and creative, forward- thinking ideas and strategies.

* Develops and implements a strategic plan for the sale of advertising and sponsorship across all digital platforms.
* Works closely with traffic manager to understand what inventory is available, and maximizes auction and remnant inventory opportunities between media buys.
* Exploits new opportunities inside the existing business and considers non-traditional advertising components.
Generates new business by cold calling corporate enterprises.
* Monitors markets, reviews brands, competition and growth areas to identify successful patterns and business opportunities.
* Regularly prospects for new sponsors, prepares and conducts sales presentations, negotiates terms, closes sales, and manages offline and online advertising revenue.
* Builds relationships in the given category with the respective client and ad agencies with the goal of enhancing these relationships, building new clients and opportunities, and producing revenue on a consistent, quarterly basis to meet and exceed revenue goal targets.
* Develops international territories and adapts programs with localized advertisers and sponsors.
* Manages the planning process of all categories including the forecasting and analysis of sales, and other revenue.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
* 6-8 years of successful Marketing, Advertising Sales, or Sponsorship experience. Previous lead generation, sales, and/or account management experience desired.
* Must have 2-3 years of online sales experience with proven sales track record.
* Must have strong relationships built with key marketers and influential ad agency personnel.
* Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Internet and online advertising plus the various platforms, creative units/executions and current competitive landscape.
* Ability to travel two to three times a month.
* Ability to work with a high degree of intensity and follow through.
* Ability to speak comfortably over the telephone to generate lead sales. Ability to comfortably conduct cold calls.
* Superior closing skills.
* Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
* Experience selling sponsorship for event properties preferred.
* Understanding of the DoubleClick Sales Manager system is a plus.
