Salty Crew is looking for a Creative Manager to work out of the San Diego, Calif. office.
The Creative Manager is responsible for setting the overall design direction of the product line & managing the design and product development process. The successful applicant will have the ability to create original and commercial ranges, and ensure an extremely high level of product quality is achieved.
This position works closely with Production, Sales and Marketing departments to ensure the product strategy is best executed.
Responsibilities:
• Manage art flow through seasonal development, sampling and production.
• Sets overall global product and art direction for apparel and accessory product lines.
• Responsible for ensuring that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy.
• Drives product strategy, interacts with sales, and marketing to define these requirements.
• Responsible for managing and providing creative direction.
• Responsible for global range merchandising and planning.
• Oversees fits, fabric and trims development.
• Maintains seasonal product development calendar.
• Needs to understand pricing strategies to achieve target margins.
• Presents ranges and product direction to key management and internal departments.
• Will work hands on in the design process. Including preparing tech packs, developing product with suppliers and insuring on time delivery of sampling and production.
• Development of instore POP.
