Job Description
To effectively drive and communicate the overall merchandising strategies to our distributor wholesale partners. Direct and manage direct reports to drive growth and opportunities for the international wholesale business. Challenge and evolve current processes and systems in support of company objectives to enable continued growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
• Direct and manage merchandiser’s communication with distributor partners
• Effectively communicate day to day product assortments, need to evolve current processes that are more effective
• Develop assortments tailored to distributor’s opportunities and customer needs based on key account selling reports
• Partner with distributors to support objectives and projections for key accounts
• Set up monthly calls with distributors to review overall current and future opportunities, flexibility is crucial based on international time zones
• Attend U.S. pre-lines in order to gain knowledge of the product and to effectively communicate assortments for all divisions to our partners
• Support International conferences twice a year in our MB showroom, presenting product and driving overall company key strategies
• Review weekly best sellers for U.S. and International Skechers stores, effectively communicating with distributors missed opportunities
• Review weekly/monthly/seasonal/YTD actual shipments and bookings against plans at the total level and key acct level
• Communicate effectively with product team product opportunities based on trends and selling reports.
• Evaluate and come up with solutions to any problems that arise with distributors
• Set up and review monthly calendars to determine samples needs for distributors conferences and tradeshows
• Manage sample coordinators, meeting the sample needs for all international
• Monthly visits to domestic showrooms in order to comprehend the product, understanding the evolution of the styles
• Manage and communicate women’s product assortments

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 10-15 years’ experience within both Merchandising and Merchandise Planning within the footwear or apparel industry
• Bachelor’s degree required
• International wholesale experience and sales background required
