Daddies Board Shop is the largest longboard skateboard
ecommerce company in the United States, and we have a
long history in snowboard and street skating as well.
Hard work – but mostly our good looks – has landed us on
the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company list multiple
times. We are an established business with the hunger and
energy of a start-up. We are growing quickly and have
begun making significant new investments in the systems
and people to turn a great business into a really, really
great business.
We are looking for someone who is antsy to take a
leadership role growing a business. If you want to build
something special – and wear multiple hats in the process
– we have a pretty exciting platform to make it happen.
If you don’t, that’s cool. We won’t judge you.
The Director of Marketing will report directly to the
president of the company and be responsible for both
traditional marketing and product development/marketing.
Specifically:
• Overall budgeting, planning and execution for all
marketing channels
• Identifying and execution of new market and
market channel opportunities
• End-to-end responsibility for identifying and
execution of new product development opportunities
• Identifying customer segments and execution of
marketing strategies to specifically target them (to
avoid confusion, we're referring to targeting potential
customers with our products, not with guns or knives or
spears)
• Managing key partner relationships
• Planning and attending events
• Leading effort to establish stronger ties within
the communities we serve
• Managing social media efforts. Social media is a
natural in our business and we are just scratching the
surface.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of marketing, buying, and/or product
marketing experience
• Action sports experience (e.g., longboarding,
street skating, snowboarding) is ideal
• Must be left brained and right brained, with
demonstrated success in both creative and analytical
endeavors
• A strong sense of humor is a plus. Thinned-
skinned candidates won't like working here. We sell
skateboards. IBM, we are not.
Salary: Highly competitive
Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k), showering before
work is optional, and you’ll never be bored here.
