Inspired by founder Shaun White’s historic career fusing competitive excellence with unique style, our mission is to design products that elevate both technical performance and aesthetic. Our product lines include snowboards, technical and lifestyle apparel, goggles, and accessories across Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer collections.


Established in 2021, the Company is rapidly growing across channels and product lines and is looking for team members excited to work hard, collaborate, and build an enduring snowsports brand rooted in excellence.


Job Description: 


As our first functional “Head of Sales,” you will be responsible for delivering our near- and long-term growth plans and achieving our revenue, margin, and profitability targets across all product categories and global regions, with an emphasis on North American wholesale channels. Additionally, you will work with our Head of Merchandising and Planning to inform and shape assortment and product line strategy based on market and key account feedback.

  • Proven connector with a deep network of allies across the retail ecosystem – warm and friendly contacts within your network of buyers, sales reps, and agencies across multiple channels of trade, key accounts, categories, and geographies. You know the landscape and the players, and have specific expertise in outdoor, snow, fashion, and online marketplaces.
  • Collaborative partner able to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product, and operations to deliver an outstanding consumer and dealer experience; with supply chain and operations to create and manage the sales forecast by channel, category, and product; and with finance in the annual revenue, margin and expense planning process.


Specific tasks include:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy across channels, categories, partners, and geographies to ensure durable long-term growth and profitability
  • Own and deliver to targets across revenue, margin, and profitability
  • Develop and manage the sales calendar 
  • Hire, train/develop, retain, and mentor sales employees and independent reps and ensure that the team is provided with the tools, programs, and resources to be best in class
  • Cultivate and maintain superb top-to-top relationships with strategic retailers and partners
  • Articulate WHITESPACE’s positioning against competitors and within the retail landscape
  • Gather regular feedback from dealers and reps to provide internal team with feedback on product performance and pricing
  • Evaluate internal and external commission percentage and incentive programs for their effectiveness and for alignment with company financial goals
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that build our brand and increase sales and profit


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • 10+ years of sales experience across outdoor and/or fashion, particularly key/national accounts, specialty, international, and online marketplaces
  • Experience managing distributed sales teams and independent reps, including internationally
  • 3+ years of P&L ownership, including managing budgets and teams, in a performance-based environment
  • Proven track record of building early-stage brands via wholesale and delivering at or above sales and margin plans by winning new key accounts, opening new markets, and creating trade programs and incentives to ensure sell-through
  • Strong, data-driven problem resolution skills, including the ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Extensive experience in cross channel sales to optimize the mix between specialty, large accounts, and e-commerce
  • Ability to travel frequently in North America with occasional trips internationally
  • Ability to frequently work out of our headquarters in Los Angeles
