The Director of Sales and Marketing at CushCore will own the P&L and lead global sales and marketing efforts, driving continued growth and retaining CushCore’s position as the leading tire insert brand in bicycle market.
Reporting directly to the owner, this executive leader will manage a team of four direct reports, plus oversee CushCore projects undertaken by “shared” departments. This role is intended to work closely with a small and enthusiastic team at a world-class level.
Responsibilities, Key Objectives, and Accountability:
• Lead and manage the sales and marketing team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including CushCore's revenue targets, market share growth, brand awareness, and profitability.
• Develop and update annually CushCore’s Strategic Plan (2 year). Execute an integrated monthly sales and marketing strategy, balancing near term earnings and long-term brand reputation.
• Establish and execute go-to-market strategy to drive global sales through product, category, and geographic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to establish and communicate the brand’s strategic objectives.
• Utilizing established financial planning tools, develop and own the financial forecast process including its achievement.
• Contribute as a key stakeholder with CushCore’s product development and commercialization process.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with global distributors, dealers, and e-commerce channel partners (including direct website, Amazon, and e-tailers).
• Direct brand marketing initiatives, including social media, web & SEO, ambassador programs, and affiliate marketing. Establish, track, and measure effectiveness.
• Develop and roll-out best-in-class seasonal go-to-market launch collaterals.
• Leverage event and trade show attendance through press engagement and competitive / market research to identify new market opportunities and adjust product and marketing strategies accordingly.
• Work in conjunction with Finance and Purchasing to establish and achieve inventory goals (margin and turns) and successfully manage cash flows.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to the owner and stakeholders on CushCore sales, marketing, and overall brand performance (as compared to the financial forecast).
