Napapijri is looking for an exceptional Director, Retail & Partnership to join our Napapijri team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role
With a reporting line to the Senior Director, Marketplace you will lead Napapijri owned business, partnership stores, concessions, outlets, and distributors, to create a Direct-to-Consumer strategy aligned with brand vision.
Developing a future strategy to elevate the brand image through ‘ Tier 1’ partners , building a strong network across key markets / cities to enable the execution for image reposition.
Build, operate and maximize the performance of Napapijri DTC business and drive operation excellence for our stores to drive sustainable and profitable growth and deliver the best experience for the end consumer. Drives development in Partnership stores by recruiting new retail partners while ensuring organic growth is delivered within existing stores. Responsible for negotiating commercial terms with partners, ensuring profitability and overall brand standards are achieved and always maintained. Amongst other criteria, success will be measured by the P&L controllable, 4-wall contribution and like-for-like sales growth of the DTC business.
How You Will Make a Difference
!
The Director is responsible drive the overall performance for the DTC business across owned stores (Full Price Owned and Outlet), Partnership stores, concessions, and distributors, working with the teams to drive customer experience, operational consistency, and excellence and to maximize growth and profitability.
!
Lead, coach and develop a cohesive and passionate team to effectively develop DTC solutions, through a focus on career and skills development
!
He/she will be responsible to develop strategies to achieve results through the retail network and consistently driving top-line sales and 4 wall contribution and operating Income
!
Investigates, analyses’ and recommends potential alliances and partnerships with appropriate retail companies and organisations.
!
Responsible for developing a fiscal model for Partner stores that supports the continued channel development, while ensuring VF and partner profitability projections are delivered.
!
Forms working relations with industry decision makers and ensures that the brand ideals are understood, imbedded, and respected in partner organisations.
!
Conceptualizes and drives long- and short-term strategy for innovation and operationally sound maximization of all direct-to-consumer retail channels for the Brand.
!
Directs programs to capitalize on the brand’s presence in the dtc arena; identifies new opportunities for expansion of retail footprint through reseller partnerships and owned retail locations as well as identify new opportunities for expansion within existing reseller partnerships and owned locations.
!
Directs the development and execution of strategy that maximizes the performance of all functional areas within the Brand ( i.e., Merchandising, Inventory Management, Store Management, Operations).
!
Serves as a key member of the marketplace team and collaborates with senior executives in the development and implementation of strategy, marketing, pricing, and financial goal setting.
!
Evidence direct responsibility for profitability through leadership of a profit center. Drives the dtc team for the realization of all P&L components of financial objectives.
!
Ensure superiority of our retail channels as compared to other retailers in the competitive retail market. Maintains consistency between the essence of our brand and our retail environments.
!
Mentors and directs Retail corporate staff and field store management team to develop and execute timely, operationally effective, and profitable Brand strategies.
!
Partners with Sales, Finance, Marketing, IT, Operations, Real Estate and Construction, and other department leaders to ensure corporate goals and objectives are met.
!
Remains informed of retail industry trends, developments, and applicability for the Brand.
!
Through actions and example, ensure the Brand values are fully incorporated into business strategies and consumer messaging, upholding the values of the Company in all business interactions and acting as a visible leader in promoting corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Skills for Success
!
Leadership and people management. Experience leading multiple, cross-functional teams and retaining talent
!
10 years multi-site Retail Management experience in similar industry
!
Multi-country retail experience, with significant experience of retail sales management and business development
!
Understanding of Partnership/Franchise retailing
!
Strong commercial instincts with proven success in growing sales and customer satisfaction through customer interaction and operational efficiencies
!
Senior level DTC professional with a demonstrable track record of achievement in management of budgets, developing commercial relationships, team building and development, and influencing product merchandising buying / planning
!
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills to business partners at different levels
!
