The North Face is looking for an experienced retail brand marketing leader who can develop and execute retail brand marketing strategies for our Americas DTC stores. This role will oversee the application of global seasonal directives and develop Americas DTC retail experiences and concepts. We desire a creative, digital-first leader who will obsess consumer insights, understand shopping behaviors and journeys in store, and build unbelievable product and innovations stories and experiences to drive demand and impact across the marketplace. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail landscape, consumer trends and brand positioning as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team of retail experience and visual merch professionals. This leader will immerse themselves in the business and constantly look for opportunities to evolve and improve the way we tell our product stories, all in an effort to connect with consumers and drive sales.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in retail brand and with leading happy, balanced, collaborative and productive teams.

Director, Retail Brand - Americas

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:
Your team will be responsible for understanding both the art and science of marketing; obsessing the business, consumer insights and the creative ways we tell our product stories in store.
Develop, drive & own Retail Marketing vision and strategy for stores, brand and all product categories to fuel business growth and brand equity across TNF’s Americas Own & Operated Stores and Outlets.
Build, drive and monitor Americas retail marketing plans & tools related to Store openings, Store re-fits, Traffic Driving, Windows, 4 wall marketing and Visual Merchandising; from strategic planning to execution of key strategies / initiatives across Americas.
Lead, manage and define retail brand marketing organization by providing the team with clear vision, coaching and motivation to support VF / TNF values and objectives.
Plan & Manage Americas retail marketing budgets to ensure economies of scale and synergies across all marketing plans & tools for optimum return on investment.
Work closely with Wholesale Marketing Manager, Brand Management and Creative to ensure that campaigns, plans and tools are aligned across all channels.
Partner with Global Retail Marketing Director and EMEA/APAC Retail brand team to leverage knowledge and share best practices globally.
Collaborate with DTC Retail team to further enhance store concept, develop new store opening and refit plans, programs and priorities.
Work closely with Sr. Director of Retail and Membership to maximize best in class consumer experience across DTC and ensure GTM integration with Marketplace Merchandising and Retail Operations.

Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and market trends to inform brand strategy. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 
Creativity and Inspiration: Passion for creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Leads from a place of curiosity.  
Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, visual communication and presentation skills, with a high proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office
Proven collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. 
Ability to balance creativity with business needs, inspired by the "now and next" and keeping the consumer at the center of the work.
Entrepreneurial attitude with demonstrated agility and adaptation to change in business needs or direction

Skills for Success
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of retail brand experience (building and implementing strategies)
Experience in outdoor, sport or lifestyle brands preferred. 
Experience leading and growing a team
Large Fleet, vertical retail and store opening experience
Ability to travel 10% of the time

Educational position requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Pay Range:
$148,608.00 USD - $222,912.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential:
This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual
