WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
At the Nike European Logistics Campus (ELC) we serve consumers all over the world from our state of the art and balanced Distribution Center (DC) by delivering the right products at the right time and place. We do this by flowing our products from origin, via direct ship or ELC, to the end consumer.
One of our key areas of focus is to grow and scale our omnichannel distribution capabilities in order to support our Digital First Supply Chain at Scale strategy. To support us on our journey as we continue to transform our Distribution Centres, were looking for a Distribution Development Manager(s) leading new capability development.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Working in an agile set up, youll collaborate as part of communities and squads to develop new capabilities, set clear timelines & deliverables, and tackle problems together in the path of work, all whilst driving X-functional alignment and progress in line with the agreed upon solutions.
Diverse teams focus on 5 key areas: Process; Infrastructure; Transition Management; Planning & Design - crafting and implementing innovative consumer-oriented solutions. Working as part of a self-steering, cross-functional team collaborating and bringing to life outstanding ideas, projects could include implementing the new Warehouse Management System (technology, process & people impact). You could also be looking at automating old infrastructure, collaborating with external vendors + internal partners (tech, maintenance, engineering) to ensure a smooth transition. Or you could be scanning and evaluating the market for new technologies (e.g. Robotics) to better automate and implement future forward solutions in either pilot projects or full implementations. You could also evolve our planning processes and systems to an up to date, stable and performant planning solution in line with our multifaceted and fast-growing digital channel.
Who will you work with
Youll work closely with other squad and community members, such as Transition Management, Distribution Centre Processes, Planning and Infrastructure. Youll collaborate with different partners in our European Logistics Campus and our European and Global Headquarters, in addition to external partners.
What you bring:
DISTRIBUTION CENTRE EXPERTISE: Extensive understanding of DC planning and processes, ideally within a Digitally focused environment.
SUPPLY CHAIN: Experience of working within large scale Supply Chain and DCs
INNOVATION: A passion for crafting and implementing future-focused solutions.
PROJECT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Proven track record of driving initiatives and projects, whilst managing change effectively.
COMMUNICATION: A great communicator in English, with the ability to convey ideas and opinions clearly and concisely to all levels.
CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT: You think conceptual & end to end and are experienced in process design and capability development.
TEAM BUILDING: Experience of building and leading (virtual) teams and team values is a plus.
AGILE: Open to new ways of working and integrating agile across teams.
