This position is focused on supporting the growth of PEARL iZUMi and Nathan by delivering outstanding leadership to all retail stores. S/he will also maintain a keen focus on the visual presentation of our brands. Emphasis will be on driving revenue and providing mechanisms to keep the stores appropriately stocked and merchandized while allowing the stores to focus on sales and customer service. S/he will also be responsible for developing the strategic direction and plan for all new store openings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Relentlessly pursue sales and profit goals for all stress throughout the year.
Support store managers in the following areas Conduct regular store visits to ensure operational excellence.
Focus on store sales/profitability.
Assist in recruiting, developing and retaining staff.
Assist store managers in developing sales and profit training at regular intervals.
Implement best practices/processes.
Identify and execute marketing opportunities for monthly retail E-mails to customers.
Conduct physical inventories, train stores on inventory management.
Support POS functionality.
Assist stores in maintaining optimal product mix to achieve sales goals and control close out inventory levels.
Support managers with any employee-related issues.
Communicate brand essence to the customer in all aspects of visual presentation in the stores.
Ensure all visual signage, merchandising, and displays clearly and compellingly communicate the brand image.
Develop and drive the ordering process for stores. Ensure store managers keep the store appropriately stocked and assorted to maximize gross margin.
Coordinate the merchandise ordering process to maintain a consistent and strong flow of close-out inventory through the store channel.
Scout, negotiate and set-up new store leases. Lead project coordinator with other internal stakeholders on all new store opening activities including store layout & design, physical store setup, placing initial store inventory orders, staffing, and providing employee training per established store procedures.
Relentlessly pursue sales and profit goals for all stores throughout the year.
Develop and maintain customer-advocating culture with a sense of urgency in every store, as well as formal training in sales process, from greeting customer info acquisition and end of transaction.
Lead traffic driving initiatives and execution, including but not limited to promotional planning, social media, print posts, paid advertising, coupons, and more.
Lead off-site event planning by delegating event research, evaluating sales/profit opportunities, and assuring the store has all the equipment, staffing and product required for maximizing profit at customer acquisition.
Collaborate with other DTC sales channels to align and maintain pricing such that the product in factory stores is earning as much margin as possible while still providing attractive value for customers.
POSITION SPECIFICS:
This is a full-time position
Typical work hours and days are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position is based in Denver, Colorado area, but may consider candidates living near Orange County, CA.
This position is expected to travel approximately 25%.
Pay Transparency
The Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The salary range for this role in Colorado or Fountain Valley, CA is $120k - $140k In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is currently responsible for 4 stores, with a plan of growth over the next 1-2 years.
Responsible for quarterly reviews of direct reports and ensuring all managers of customer services teams have outlined performance objectives for their teams.
Direct supervision of 4 Store Managers based in Silverthorne, CO; Castle Rock, CO; Park City, UT; and Costa Mesa, CA.
Recruit, train, lead, develop, evaluate, and retain direct and indirect labor associated with stores.
Recommend and assist with employee development programs. Ensure performance objectives are outlined and completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Work with Human Resources for coaching, counseling, and corrective actions.
