About This Role
The East Event Market Manager is responsible for leading, operating, and scaling Heat Wave Visual’s events program for the East Coast region. This role owns end-to-end execution of event-based retail operations, brand experience, staffing, logistics, and financial performance. The East Coast Event Market Manager acts as the field leader for HWV, ensuring consistent brand representation, strong sales execution, disciplined inventory control, and operational excellence across all assigned events.
This role combines hands-on event execution with strategic planning, vendor negotiation, staff leadership, and performance reporting. Success is measured by revenue growth, cost control, brand presentation, team development, and the effective utilization of sponsorship and event opportunities.
The Events Director owns all aspects of event operations and performance
- Oversee East Coast event execution including East, Mid-West and South markets
- Serve as the primary field representative of HWV at motorsports events
- Drive revenue, brand awareness, and operational efficiency
- Ensure consistent application of HWV standards, tone, and SOPs

Responsibilities:
Sponsorship & Vendor Negotiation
Own event-level partnerships and agreements for the market where needed
- Identify high-impact motorsports and lifestyle events
- Negotiate sponsorship and vendor contracts
- Ensure favorable terms aligned with revenue and brand goals
- Integrate HWV national and corporate sponsorships into event execution
- Maintain strong relationships with promoters, tracks, and partners
Event Routing & Scheduling
Maximize event coverage and return on investment
- Build optimized event schedules across available weekends
- Route events efficiently to reduce travel costs and downtime
- Align staffing levels to event demand and sponsorship value
- Ensure maximum utilization of sponsorship and vending opportunities
Proactive Event Planning
Plan and execute all operational details in advance of each event
- Build and manage travel schedules and routing plans
- Prepare and distribute event materials and training documentation
- Forecast and allocate inventory by event
- Develop and execute pre-event checklists
- Execute post-event checklists including reporting, inventory reconciliation, and debriefs
Driving & Event Set-Up
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient transport and setup
- Safely operate and oversee transport of trucks and trailers
- Class A CDL driving license compliant to DOT standards for driving truck and trailer
- Manage event load-in, set-up, and tear-down
- Train staff on proper set-up and breakdown procedures
- Ensure compliance with venue, safety, and transportation requirements
- Optimize staffing for efficient build and breakdown
Event Hours & On-Site Leadership
Responsible for full operational coverage during all event hours
- Ensure events are open, staffed, and operational from load-in through close
- Confirm all staff are trained, scheduled, and present for full event hours
- Act as on-site decision maker during events
- Resolve operational, staffing, or customer issues in real time
Event Experience: Engagement & Sales
Own the quality and performance of the customer-facing event experience
- Set clear sales goals and performance targets for each event
- Drive active customer engagement aligned with HWV brand tone
- Coach staff on sales techniques, upselling, and conversion
- Ensure product knowledge is strong across sunglasses and apparel
- Capture and report event-level sales data, insights, and opportunities
Staffing & Training
Build and manage a high-performing East Coast events team
- Recruit, hire, and onboard event staff
- Develop staffing plans aligned to event size and revenue goals
- Train staff on inventory management and loss prevention
- Train staff on Heat Wave Visual brand voice, personality, and culture
- Implement and reinforce event SOPs and sales training
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance evaluation
Asset Maintenance
Ensure all physical assets are event-ready and brand-forward
- Oversee truck and trailer maintenance, cleanliness, and presentation
- Conduct pre and post event inspections of vehicles and displays
- Ensure all retail fixtures, displays, and signage are clean and functional
- Proactively identify and resolve maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain a polished and professional HWV presence at every event
Finance & Reporting
Maintain financial discipline and transparency
- Deliver timely post-event sales and performance reports
- Submit expenses accurately and on schedule
- Track event profitability and cost performance
- Build revenue projections and budget forecasts
- Evaluate event ROI and make data-driven recommendations
Growth & Optimization
Continuously improve the events program
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth at events
- Develop ideas for cost optimization and operational efficiency
- Test new merchandising, pricing, and engagement strategies
- Share insights and recommendations with leadership
- Contribute to the long-term scaling of HWV’s events business
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading mobile retail or experiential marketing teams
- Background in motorsports, action sports, or lifestyle brands preferred
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- High operational discipline and attention to detail
- Comfortable with extensive travel and long event days
- Sales-driven mindset with strong financial acumen
