Horny Toad’s in-house creative department directs, designs and produces all digital and print collateral related to the Horny Toad brand, product and corporate communications. This includes multiple web sites, email campaigns, print and digital workbooks/lookbooks, product graphics/labeling/hangtags, POP/in-store materials, tradeshow booth graphics/signage, photography, video, brochures, social media/blog, digital and print advertising.
The Managing Content Editor (MCE) is responsible for the voice of Horny Toad as expressed in all communication channels. In addition to being a talented writer and editor, the MCE is creative, has a quick wit, is up for any challenge, open-minded, loves collaborating with other talented people, thrives under pressure and is driven to make great work. As part of the Creative team the MCE works with our Product, Sales, Marketing and Web teams to produce targeted, effective collateral and campaigns that are on brand and meet defined communications goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Concepts and copy for eComm campaigns, web site assets, digital ads
• Social media content driven by marketing calendar
• Bi-weekly blog posts
• Corporate content, press releases
• Manage freelance content contributors
• All product-related copy
• Collaborate with other departments
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience as writer/editor, preferably in consumer products
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Proficient in blogging platforms
• Fluent and active on multiple social media platforms
• Ability to work well in a team-based, deadline-driven environment
• Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and quality
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in an open environment and with other teams
• Ability to be flexible with extended work hours as necessary
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
This is a full time, in-house, salaried position.
