Monster Children is looking for an experienced digital editor to manage their online editorial presence, in Los Angeles, CA.
POSITION SUMMARY //
This is a full time role based in our Los Angeles office. You must have the required visa enabling you to live and work in the United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Manage and lead the editorial team for monsterchildren.com.
• Lead all editorial meetings weekly, liaising regularly with directors and Editor in Chief in regard to editorial direction.
• Develop an annual editorial framework and content strategy for monsterchildren.com.
• Develop a comprehensive short and long term editorial calendar and drive weekly meetings, ensuring the sites immediate and long term content needs are met.
• Oversee and manage editorial budget.
• Constantly monitor site and editorial analytics, making recommendations and adapting Monster Children’s online strategy where needed to meet traffic targets.
• Develop and maintain a global network of high quality contributing writers, photographers and filmmakers under the direction of the Editor in Chief.
• Maintain regular contact with contributors and oversee and approve all submissions, undertaking a detailed sub edit of each written piece prior to going live and ensuring all published work aligns with Monster Children’s style and tone.
• Personally post at least two pieces each day, Monday to Friday, with scheduled weekend posts.
• Oversee content for bi-weekly newsletter mail out.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Agency to integrate required content and Monster Children shop needs.
• Work closely with Digital Director to develop and continually evaluate Monster Children’s social media strategy and audience development across an ever-changing social landscape.
• Assist with pitching and responding to creative commercial briefs and commissioning branded content features.
• Attend partner events and relevant promotional events as a representative of Monster Children.
