ASICS is looking to add a PC & Help Desk Technician to its growing team in Irvine, CA.
Reporting directly into the IT Operations Manager, the PC and Helpdesk Technician is responsible for maintaining all hardware/software and providing technical support for local and remote users.
Note that this position is an indefinite temporary position that starts immediately. Full-time, M-F.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides technical support for entire user community
• Installs and supports hardware, software and peripherals for local and remote users
• Maintains data backup
• Provides account maintenance
• Provides asset deployment and lifecycle maintenance
• Provides telecommunications support for entire user community
• Oversees conference room functionality and support
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
• Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
• Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
• Adheres to local, state and federal laws
• Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your position/department
• Ability to work varied hours, nights, days and weekends to support the business needs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This position has no direct reports
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees, customers and outside vendors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Associates degree in IT (preferred)
• 1-3 years of work experience in a technical support role
• Working knowledge of Windows XP and Windows7 operating systems
• Working knowledge of industrial grade scanners and MS Windows CE operating systems
• Working knowledge of networked printer installation and support
• Working knowledge of wired and wireless networks
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes and SAP
