Summary:
This role is a technical role; not a marketing role. This role will report to the Director of Growth and will work cross-functionally to create and implement email strategies with a focus to driving sales, increasing retention and improving personalization through curated customer journeys and product recommendations. The Email Marketing Specialist is a collaborative individual with a proven track record of leveraging data driven insights to develop go-to-market strategies across Yotpo, Bluecore and Shopify (email, SMS and the reward/loyalty program) channels.

SALARY RANGE: $55-75K with fringe benefits up to another $5,000-8,000.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-- Focus on driving customer retention through thoughtful email and SMS communication,
personalized lifecycle and cohort marketing strategies and a brand rewards program
-- Partner with Growth and Brand teams to build a robust email and SMS marketing calendar to
support product launches, promotions, LTV, rewards program and general marketing messages
-- Write detailed email briefs necessary for creative partners to bring vision to life
-- Manage set up and testing of all email, SMS and Loyalty campaigns in their respective platforms
-- Maintain weekly and monthly email and SMS performance benchmarks and share recaps with
key partners
-- Build and maintain a comprehensive customer cohort and lifecycle journey map that is
constantly being tested and optimized
-- Develop a customer segmentation strategy to maximize efficiency of marketing sends
-- Set up automated and triggered email/sms/loyalty flows as wells as one off marketing email
sends
-- Manage the day-to-day success of our rewards program by maintaining a rewards specific
marketing calendar, proposing promotions/points offers for rewards members and delivering
exciting member perks and experiences
-- Maintain and build out triggered flows and automations to nurture new/existing subscribers into
new buyers and repeat buyers
-- Maintain email and SMS roadmap/calendar doc and work with necessary partners to execute
projects
-- Develop a strategy to utilize dynamic content and personalized product recommendations within
email and SMS
-- Own the relationship with our ESP, SMS, Loyalty and referral program partners

Experience/ Education:
-- 3+ years experience directly managing the email marketing program for a DTC retailer
-- Experience with Bluecore is preferred
-- Proven ability gathering, reporting and actioning on data and insights
-- Strong project management skills
-- Experience defining engagement and retention strategies through email
-- Knowledge and experience with implementing and leading digital marketing communications
-- Can think critically and pivot swiftly as needed
-- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment
-- Possess a strong work ethic and act as a team player
-- Proficient in Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, data analysis
